Minister of Civil Aviation unveils the inaugural issue of SP’s Civil Aviation Yearbook

With the New Year cheer abuzz, SP’s has a new reason to cheer! SP’s introduced the ‘SP’s Civil Aviation Yearbook (SP’s CAYB)’. The coveted book was released by the Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Mr. Jayant Baranwal, Editor-in-Chief – SP Guide Publications, shared the very first copy of the Civil Aviation Yearbook with the Minister. Unveiling the inaugural issue, the Minister quipped, “Finally it has arrived”. He played a key role in conceptualizing the idea of the Yearbook.

Early last year, while appreciating a copy of SP’s Military Yearbook, published since 1964, he asked, ‘why don’t we have something like this on the civil aviation’, and in a year’s time this idea fructified into a hard bound ‘312 page’, knowledge book.

SP’s CAYB, comes from the house of SP Guide Publications, serving the Defense and Aviation knowledge space since 1964. The book is first of its kind reference document on commercial aviation for the entire Asia Pacific, South Asia and Middle East with focus on sixteen countries: Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea (South), Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE and Qatar.

SP’s CAYB has been structured into a total of 6 key sections: Perspectives and Outlook; Regional Outlook; Reference Data and Who’s Who; Experts’ Voices; India – a High Growth Market and Aircraft Catalogue.

The book comes at a pertinent time, where lot of impetus is given to the Aviation Industry and the growth is surmounting.
